Table Glass
The Zuiderzeemuseum bought the glass series during the International Glass Art Fair in Leerdam. The six user items, with the names Jug, Platter, Bowl, Platter with Cover, Candy Dish, and Flower Vase, have been made from Europe’s purest variety of crystal, cristal supérieur. They are produced in collaboration with the master glassblowers of Royal Leerdam Crystal. Each table object consists of a pink transparent layer and a white layer. The two layers of coloured glass have been brought together by means of the traditional glassblowing technique known as ‘overlay’. After cooling, the characteristic line patterns of this series were applied manually with a small diamond disk. A collector’s edition of eight.
