Lloyd Hotel

Scholten & Baijings designed a traditional style room where everything revolves around layering, colour and transparency. There is only a bed; all other furniture has been removed. One is surrounded by colour. The most striking eye-catcher is the carpet, which has been tufted in harmony with the shades of the Colour Plaids. The carpet has a luxurious, deep-pile texture that invites one to sit down on the floor and enjoy a moment of calm and relaxation. The curtains, specially woven at the Textile Museum, come in a graduated colour scheme. There is a large mirror on the ceiling in which the entire room is reflected. This creates a strangely fascinating effect.
